About Armand DesHarnais:
I started in ceramics at age 18 and it was a big part of my life for about seven years. I was offered a scholarship to an art school—the proverbial fork in the road—and I decided that although ceramics made me happy, it didn’t scare me, and I needed to face my fears. So I spent the next 20 years doing that, and I’ve never regretted it. But coming back to clay, and making it my work, has been like coming home.
My biggest hope for Filthy Habit is that my students can share the feeling I have about clay and learning and making, and that the space will be full of that love.
